Position Title: Middle School Social Studies Teacher
 Location: East Voyager Academy of Charlotte 7429 Tuckaseegee Rd, Charlotte, NC 28214
 Reports To: School Principal
 Position Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

East Voyager Academy of Charlotte is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Social Studies Teacher to join our instructional team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop critical thinking skills, civic awareness, and a strong understanding of history, geography, economics, and government. This teacher will create an engaging classroom environment that promotes academic excellence and character development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons aligned with North Carolina Standard Course of Study
  
  

• Develop lesson plans that incorporate differentiated instruction and data-driven practices
  
  

• Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and student engagement
  
  

• Assess and monitor student progress regularly and communicate effectively with parents and guardians
  
  

• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
  
  

• Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and school initiatives
  
  

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, History, or a related field
  
  

• Must hold a current North Carolina teaching license OR be eligible and willing to obtain NC licensure
  
  

• Strong classroom management and instructional skills
  
  

• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  
  

• Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous middle school teaching experience
  
  

• Experience working in diverse learning environments
  
  

• Knowledge of North Carolina standards and curriculum requirements
  
  

Compensation
