Aspire Trade High School is seeking a visionary and collaborative Head of School to lead an

innovative high school that combines rigorous academics with hands-on career and technical

education.

About Our School

Our mission is to provide students with a strong academic foundation while allowing them to

explore meaningful career pathways. Students at Aspire Trade High School pursue both

traditional academic coursework and a selected trade major that combines classroom

instruction with hands-on training.

Through partnerships with regional employers, students gain real-world experience and

complete a senior apprenticeship prior to graduation. Upon completion of the program,

graduates earn both a high school diploma and a certificate of completion in their trade,

equipping them with marketable skills and clear pathways to employment or further education.

Position Overview

The Head of School serves as the chief educational and administrative leader of the school and

is responsible for advancing the school’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.

Working in partnership with the Board of Trustees, the Head of School oversees all aspects of

school operations including academic programming, faculty leadership, student success,

industry partnerships, enrollment, and financial stewardship. The Head of School ensures the

successful integration of rigorous academics with hands-on trade education and workforce

development opportunities.

The Head of School also serves as an ex officio, non-voting member of the Board of Trustees.

Key Responsibilities

 Provide strategic leadership aligned with the school’s mission and vision.

 Oversee the development and delivery of rigorous academic and career-focused

programs.

 Develop and maintain partnerships with regional employers to support apprenticeships

and career pathways.

 Recruit, develop, and support high-quality faculty and staff.

 Manage day-to-day school operations, including budgeting, enrollment, and facilities.

 Foster a positive school culture that supports student achievement and well-being.

 Engage families, community members, and industry partners in the life of the school.

 Collaborate with the Board of Trustees on strategic initiatives and school advancement.

Qualifications

 Master’s degree (Doctorate preferred) in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related

field.

 Experience as a classroom teacher, preferably at the middle or high school level.

 Prior experience in school leadership or administration.

 Demonstrated success in program development, faculty leadership, and organizational

management.

 Experience with career and technical education, workforce development, or industry

partnerships is strongly preferred.

 Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.

expand partnerships, apprenticeship opportunities, and support for the school’s mission.
