Reports To: School Principal
Position Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

East Voyager Academy of Charlotte is seeking a highly organized, professional, and dynamic Office Manager & Communications Coordinator to oversee daily front office operations while managing internal and external communications. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for families and community members and will lead the school’s communication, social media, outreach, and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is customer-service oriented, detail-driven, and skilled in building positive relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Office Management & Operations

  • Oversee daily front office operations and ensure a welcoming, professional environment

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, students, staff, and visitors

  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and front desk communications

  • Maintain organized records, files, and office procedures

  • Support student enrollment processes and maintain confidentiality of records

  • Coordinate schedules, appointments, and school-wide communications

Communications & Marketing

  • Manage and maintain the school’s social media platforms and website updates

  • Create engaging content including graphics, newsletters, flyers, and announcements

  • Develop and implement communication plans to promote school events and initiatives

  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all platforms

  • Photograph and document school events for promotional use

Community Outreach

  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations and local businesses

  • Coordinate outreach efforts, family engagement events, and marketing campaigns

  • Support recruitment initiatives and community awareness strategies

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred

  • Proven experience in office management, customer service, or administrative support

  • Experience managing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and creating digital content

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a school or educational setting

  • Graphic design experience (Canva, Adobe, or similar platforms)

  • Knowledge of website management systems

  • Experience in community engagement and marketing strategy development

Compensation
