Webinar - Social Media Adolescent Addiction Lawsuit Claims & Recoveries
Tuesday, June 23, 2026 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
Please join us for a focused webinar on June 23 at Noon EST regarding the nationwide lawsuits by School Districts against Meta, TikTok, Snap, Google/YouTube, and others for harms caused by addictive social media platforms. Charter schools may have claims in these lawsuits but very few have joined, potentially leaving hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars on the table.
Background: Thousands of public-school districts across the United States— including twenty North Carolina public school districts— are pursuing claims in the federal Social Media Adolescent Addiction MDL (3047) to recover unreimbursed costs for counseling, mental health support, disciplinary issues, and lost academic performance. Charter schools have been largely absent from the litigation despite facing similar harms and costs.
This session will cover the current status of the cases and potential options for charter schools. Bellwether trials begin in Summer 2026. Cases are handled on a contingency basis (no upfront fees or expenses unless the claims are successfully litigated or settled).
Please reserve your spot by clicking the registration button above.
Cost: This webinar is free for NCAPCS Members and $150 for non-members.
This webinar is presented by Munn & Orth PLLC, a plaintiff law firm specializing in corporate and institutional plaintiffs like charter schools. The webinar is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship.
