There are many dreams for your charter schools that you cannot afford. So you might consider professionalizing and increasing your fundraising efforts. 

A 25-year veteran of fundraising and 10-year veteran of working for charter schools, Jim will lay out what to do first—coming up with a study of how feasible it would be to fundraise aggressively and how much money you could reasonably expect. Then comes a strategic plan and implementation. He will discuss your possibilities for staffing up to fundraise, having a fundraising consultant do it, or employing a combination of the two. 

Other questions he will answer: 

• Should we start an annual fund for a capital campaign?
• How do we get parents to lead our fundraising? 
• If I need to hire a development director, how hard is it and how much would it cost?
• What’s the best role for the head of school?
